Important Books
ut of the total of about 3600 titles almost 600 can be considered of importance (See E. Göransson Further Reading). These publications have been divided into 26 topics according to the system employed by Hjalmar Sjögren. As expressed in the letter of donation to IVA, the collection is to be arranged in the library using this system.
The topics are listed on the right and reflect the wide-ranging interest of Hjalmar Sjögren. However, the bulk of the collection falls within the fields of geology, mineralogy, mining and the basic sciences, including astronomy.
By choosing a topic of interest, a list of the most important books within the chosen topic is displayed.
Alternately by choosing a letter from the alphabet, a list of books is produced with those authors (out of about 520) the name of which starts with the chosen letter.
